Thai, Hawaiian, Bath: what each one does
Published
Most of the board at Victoria Sauna is given over to the regional series. One line stands apart from that grid: Thai Dragon Muscle Massage, Hawaii Style Massage, Fancy Bath Therapeutic Massage. Three names, one price, no sub-grades.
A guest asked us about that line before he settled on a date. He wanted the shortest possible answer: what do these actually do, and which is the strongest.
That last question we did not answer, and we are not going to. These are not ranked against each other. They differ in the hands, in the pace, and in the part of you that gets looked after. We will tell you plainly what each one is and let you pick the one that sounds like your evening. We promise no therapeutic outcome, and the house does not sell one. That is our limit, stated up front, so the rest of this holds.
Thai Dragon Muscle: legs, hips, lower back
The Thai lineage works by alternating stretch and pressure, with the weight of the session on the legs, hips and lower back. Firm, unhurried, section by section, opening you up as it goes. If you have been on your feet all day and your calves feel heavy, this is the one where the change arrives fastest.
Hawaii Style: long strokes across the whole back
Different hands entirely. The Hawaiian approach is led by the forearm, with long travelling strokes that cover a wide sweep of back in a single pass and very little stopping in between. If your shoulders and back are tight as one sheet, and you would rather not be worked point by point, this continuous rhythm tends to suit you better.
Fancy Bath: soak first, then the hands
This one begins in the water. You spend time in the bath and the foam first, and the pressure work starts only once you have loosened. Rooms with their own bathtub and the general layout can be confirmed when you book. If you are in no rush and want the evening stretched out, that order is the pleasure of it.
That is what those three traditions are, in outline. The actual sequence and pressure on the night are set by your therapist, reading your body. Details still being published since the reopening are shared when you book.
Whose hour it is
One thing worth settling before you arrive. A stated session length starts when the therapist starts. Reception, the locker room, the bath hall, the minutes you spend choosing: none of that counts against it.
The house is open 24 hours. Therapists are on shift daily from 13:00 to 06:00 the next morning. Before your therapist comes through the door, the time inside is simply yours, and a visit lets you stay and rest for 15 hours. Soak as long as you like first; you lose nothing.
On price: each of the three is listed at MOP 2,998 on the menu that opened on 29 August 2026, plus a 10% service charge. The All-Hours Happy Hour is a separate line — daily 13:00 to 06:00 the next morning, six named combinations at MOP 3,998 to 5,598. These three are not in it. Rates follow the house board on the day, with the current menu confirmed when you book.
The questions we hear most
Can these three be combined with the two-for-one?
No. That offer covers the six named Happy Hour combinations only, and these three are charged at board price. It is the most common question, so we answer it here rather than at the counter.
Do I have to choose before booking?
No. A date and a headcount are enough. Booking through this site — and only through this site — also includes two free add-on services, and those are chosen once you are there.
Can I ask for more or less pressure?
Yes, and it works better than picking by name. Tell your therapist in the room. Everything else lives on the answers page.
Pick one name
Send us a date, how many of you, and one line about what you want looked after: the legs, the whole back, or a long soak before any hands at all. The free private car, the two free add-on services and the free consultation are all set out on the booking page. The address is 278 Avenida Cidade de Macau, 5/F, L’Arc Macau.
That one line on the board: choose a name, and we will arrange the rest.
